Academy Players Take Part In Social Workshop
During the recent half-term holidays, a number of Rochdale AFC Academy players took part in a Social Workshop.
A selection of youngsters from the Under-12s, 13s and 14s attended the workshop at Heywood Sports Village, which was aimed at developing their social skills and awareness.
They worked in groups to discuss what the word social meant to them, before analysing video footage of their in-game reactions to scoring and conceding goals.
Afterwards, the players worked in teams to set learning objectives and tactics for matches against New Jersey Copa FC in the afternoon, who were touring the UK from the United States.
The Social Workshop is the first of a series, which will include Workshops that focus on psychological, technical, tactical and physical attributes, led by Academy coaches Danny Lloyd and Michael Flynn.
