Wade joined the Academy as an under-16 and played in three FA Youth Cup campaigns for the club.

The goalkeeper was a key member of the EFL North West Youth Alliance League winning squad in 2017/18.

He signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2018, putting pen-to-paper on a one-year deal.
